Today we finished crossing Montana and Wyoming.  We are in Rapid City currently where we are spending the night.  Traveling with Abe and Baby A has not slowed us down nearly as much as I thought it would (note the photo of Kathleen's lead foot).  Aisling causes us to take longer breaks and to visit places we would generally never go, like the Billings mall.  But in general we are making great time and having a blast.

 

A couple observations today.

- the makers of the shopping carts at the billings mall felt it necessary to warn folks not to place children in a bag which rides under thier cart.

- deer and pronghorn have infested wyoming

- starbucks is officially everywhere, 3 years ago when we did this same drive it was not.

- text messaging google is the best thing since the cell phone.

 

We made it out of the house today.   It was quite a feat considering we had to move out of the upstairs so the contractors can redo our floors while we are away.  Kathleen and I got up a 4am and finished moving all our possesions into the carpeted areas of our house.  We left about 7am.  Baby A was awesome today.  She played, slept and was a great traveller.  Abe did well too although I think he is kinda sick of riding in the rear of the car. 

 

We are at a really nice hotel called the Com'on inn in Missoula MT tonight.  They have a pool so we got a bunch of energy out.  Here are some shots from today.  We spent about a hour at the Spokane mall letting baby A run around at a play gym place.  It was lots of fun.  We hope to make it to Rapid City SD tommorrow but we may have to settle for something in Wyonming.
